Change in the management of the Barcelona Fair Organisation

Since October, Josep Gual Balmanya, aged 41 and from Girona, has taken over from Adolf Cabruja, as the new managing director of the Barcelona Fair Organisation. This appointment completes the new management team, which has undertaken to set-up a strategic plan for the Barcelona Fair. Actions proposed by the team, include speeding-up the extension of Montjuïc-2 and to internationalise the Fair, particularly in Latin America.
The new managing director, elected through a professional selection process conducted by Seeliger & Conde, was previously the managing director of ING, the Dutch banking group, and has wide experience in corporate management in banking and insurance sectors.
