CONDITIONS AND TREATMENT OF THE POOL WATER

3.1. All regulations stipulate that the supply water must come from the mains, or obtain a favourable health report if the situation is different.

3.2. With regard to the volume of the daily addition to the pool, the regulations which include this point all follow the same criteria, stipulating 5% of the volume of the pool water.

3.3. All regulations indicate that the disinfectant must be dispensed automatically.

3.4. Another point on which the criteria differ, regards the joint treatment of waters from children's/paddling and leisure pools.

The regulations of La Rioja, Galicia, Catalonia, Navarra, Valencia, Castilla León and Castilla La Mancha do not mention anything about this.

The Madrid and Murcia regulations stipulate that purification treatment of water from both pools must be separate. Andalucía regulations indicate that this system is preferable.

The Basque Country allows joint filtration, as long as disinfection is performed separately.

3.5. There is a wide variety of criteria regarding circulation time of water contained in the pool, and minimum flows are set depending on these criteria.
