The WALIBI RHÔNE-ALPES attraction park contracted the Valencia company ACTION PARK to remodel its water area.
Last December, the WALIBI RHÔNE-ALPES contracted the Valencia company ACTION park to remodel its water area. This is a water theme park located between Lyon and Chambéry, set in an idyllic natural park covering 35 hectares, but after 28 seasons, it needed extensive remodelling. ACTION PARK proposed to demolish the existing rides and swimming pools, refurbish the old buildings and build new swimming pools and rides: L l’Île aux Pirates, on more than 13,000 sq.m. with 9 slides a wave pool, lakes and several waterfalls. After almost 20,000 working hours, the project was completed within a record time of 5 months, opening to the public on 17th June. It has become the largest and most innovative water park of the region.
The Aquaria Group consolidates its presence in the water sector
The Aquaria Group, a Spanish multinational based in Sabadell (Barcelona), which has so far been involved in the conception, production and distribution of all the components and accessories necessary for swimming pools, has incorporated three Spanish holding companies into its structure - the SNTE Agua Group, Cepex Holding and Neokem Grup, thereby expanding its area of business. With these new adquisitions, Aquaria has reinforced its leadership in the swimming pool and chemical water treatment sector, with brands as well-known as AstralPool and CTX.
In future, it will expand its business to new water sectors, including domestic and industrial water treatment and fluid handling. These sectors have growth rates higher than the average for the rest of Spanish industry.
The SNTE Agua Group, purchased by Aquaria in late February, is a group of companies specialising in domestic and industrial water treatment. It has subsidiaries in Spain and France and in the last complete financial year had a consolidated turnover of 24.5 million Euros. 
Cepex Holding is a group of companies with subsidiaries in Italy, France, Mexico, the USA and Morocco, among other countries. It specialises in the manufacture and distribution of components, accessories and systems in plastic materials for fluid handling in the industrial, chemical, agricultural irrigation and domestic sectors. In 2005 its turnover was 63.5 million Euros.
Neokem Grup is a group of companies with offices in several European countries, specialising in the production and distribution of products for swimming pool water maintenance (chemical products and automatic dosage & control equipment). Its consolidated turnover in 2005 was 51.5 million Euros.
With the inclusion of these three newcomers, the Aquaria Group's forecasts for 2006 are sales figures of 555 million Euros and equity of 297 million Euros.
The Aquaria Group has five main shareholders: four Catalan family groups and the BIDSA (BanSabadell Inversió Desenvolupament) organisation, which jointly control more than 90% of the Group's corporate capital.
Aquaria now has 3000 employees, 120 branch offices in 30 countries and 28 production centres spread over several countries, and is one of the business groups with the highest international profile in the Spanish industrial world.
ISO 9001/2000 for Europa Piscinas

ISO 9001/2000 for Iberspa
